Stephan R Freid, AIA is an award winning and published architect whose work bridges large scale projects for the public good to intimate residential work.  He believes the main purpose of architecture is to enhance our quality of life by uplifting the human spirit and provide meaning and insight into our daily life.  Stephan is committed to producing responsible, humanistic and poetic architecture and design regardless of the project type or scale.  

Throughout his 33 years as a practicing architect, Stephan served as a partner in a major international A/E firm with an emphasis on science and technology.  This experience is now brought to his own private practice which he founded to be able to focus on the individual needs of his clients.

Stephan studied architecture at Pratt Institute graduating with highest honors having been awarded the American Institute of Architects School Gold Medal and the Henry Adams Certificate.  He also studied extensively in Rome, Italy, which formed the basis of his approach to architectural and urban design. 

Stephan is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is a LEED AP certified professional for sustainable design.   His practice is based in New York City where he lives with his wife and two children.
